Soban Taj has been an integral part of the construction industry for over a decade. He began his career as a teenager, gaining hands-on experience on job sites through cleaning, demolition, and assisting contractors. Over time, he advanced to the role of home construction site supervisor, managing both new home builds and renovation projects. Building on this experience, Soban later established his own home building business, overseeing the construction of more than 100 homes. Additionally, he spent several years under the mentorship of Mr. Rodney Potrie at Planning Protocol, a planning consulting firm, where he gained expertise in designing site plans using AutoCAD and contributed to numerous development projects.

As a key member of our team, Rodney Potrie is a highly experienced professional planner with over 35 years of membership in the Canadian Institute of Planners (MCIP) and the Alberta Professional Planning Institute (APPI). He is also a Registered Professional Planner (RPP) and a member of the Alberta Development Officer Association (ADOA).
Mr. Potrie holds multiple professional degrees, including an MCIP from the University of Calgary, a BASc from the University of Lethbridge, and a CET from the University of Kelowna. Over his career, he has designed and obtained approval for hundreds of development projects across Alberta—from Lac La Biche to Edmonton, Red Deer, Calgary, Lethbridge, and Cardston. Currently, he is overseeing multiple ongoing projects in the province.
In addition to his national experience, Mr. Potrie has successfully completed several international projects in Germany, England, Japan, and China, managing many of these sites through to construction. His extensive experience has given him a deep understanding of what it takes to deliver successful and profitable projects.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Mr. Potrie is a dedicated family man, actively participates in several sports, and is committed to his faith in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
